My onboard display adapter drivers are considered "legacy" and the driver package I am using is the same one I have in XP except that after I get it working Windows updates the driver but CCC still works.ġ3-1-legacy_vista_win7_win8_32_dd_ccc.exe
I my case CCC would run but it didn't recognize that I had a digital flat panel so the stuff to change the overscan was not displayed. There were no error messages or anything. Click that because in my case those files seemed to prevent the AMD installation from working because it seemed to think that what was already The Device Manager shows the ATI Radeon driver as being installed, but when I click on 'Display adapter properties' in Display Settings, it suggests that the pop-up box suggests that the adapter type is 'Microsoft Basic Display Driver. When you click uninstall drivers there will be a box that asks if you want to remove all files from the computer. My system says the display drivers for both the monitor and video card (ATI Radeon HD 4200) are up-to-date. It seems that CCC was not connecting to the Microsoft driver in the right way but once I got it working with the AMD driver when Windows updated the driver the connection remained but I am just guessing at the internals. I think I saw something like what you saw.

Once that is working you reconnect to the net and let Windows update the driver files and After you do the uninstall you will be back to VGA.

I am saying that you want to start with no video driver and then install the AMD drivers with the matching CCC. After win10's installation my external monitor has black borders.
